Professor Lee A. Fleisher, MD, University of Pennsylvania, USA
Lee A. Fleisher, MD, is Emeritus Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care and Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and continues to practice clinically. He serves as a Senior Advisor of the Bipartisan Policy Center and FasterCures of the Milken Institute, Senior Fellow of the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics and Visiting Fellow of the Duke-Margolis Center. From July 2020-July 2023, he was the Chief Medical Officer and Director of the Center for Clinical Standards and Quality for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.  From 2004 through July 2020, he was the Robert D. Dripps Professor and Chair of Anesthesiology and Critical Care and Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.  His research focuses on measurement of quality of care including quality measures, decision making and decision support, implementation of cultural change and health policy.  In 2007, he was elected to membership of the National Academy of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences and served on Committees including the Board of Health Services of the NAM. 

Professor Mike Grocott, BSc, MBBS, MD, FRCA, FRCP, FFICM, University of Southampton, UK
Mike Grocott is the Professor of Anaesthesia and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Southampton (UK) and Director of the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Southampton Biomedical Research Centre.  He is an NIHR Senior Investigator and Chair of the Board of the UK National Institute of Academic Anaesthesia. 
Mike is an elected council member and trustee of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and vice-chair of the UK Centre for Perioperative Care. He is an adjunct Professor at Duke University Medical School (USA), an honorary professor at UCL (UK), and vice-president of the Perioperative Quality Initiative (POQI). His research interests focus on perioperative and critical care medicine, the integrative physiology of human hypoxia and health services research.
