This figure shows the simultaneous monitoring and overlap of RV and pulmonary artery (PA) pressure waveforms. The normal RV diastolic pressure slope is horizontal due to its high compliance (A). This slope will change from horizontal to oblique slope during RV dysfunction (B). The slope will further develop into a square root shape during RV failure (C).
