  1. Multivariate conditional logistic regression model was adopted to evaluate the association between the potential risk factors and the development of POPE. AOR adjusted odds ratio, CI confidence interval, Des desflurane, ETGA endotracheal general anesthesia, LMA laryngeal mask anesthesia, Sevo sevoflurane, χ2 chi-square analysis. Smoking was defined as actively smoking at least one cigarette a day within the preceding week of surgery. *P < 0.05 is considered as statistical significant
